Snips and snails and puppy dog tails...this is what boys are made of.

This week Josiah has spent a considerable amount of time playing in the dirt as Jonathan and I have finished a flagstone patio and considerable amounts of taming in our backyard. He of course loves being outside and hasn't minded scurrying around the mounds of dirt. Here is a picture Jonathan took the other day after the boys had a long day's work out there:

This week has been productive, as Josiah is now standing for upwards of a minute unassisted. He seems to only do it when he isn't paying attention, and if we try to coax him into taking a step he looks at us as if he is thinking, "Pick my foot up NOW?!" then he drops to his knees and crawls.

He is successfully waving "Bye bye" and saying, "bye buh" as he does it. It is incredibly cute. Of course I keep asking him to say Mama and he grins as he shakes his head "no."

I posted the video of him eating blueberries, as well as one of him playing with a friend's puppy yesterday. How incredibly cute is the face he makes when the puppy grabs his fingers?? When we first introduced the two, they got nose to nose (as pictured below). This is what little boys are made of.
